BONDING METHODS LB MASTERS
As an OEM factory, LB designs, manufactures and provides reliable solutions in touch LCD panel. It is equipped with over 1500m2 clean rooms for manufacturing the touch panel and laminating touch panel to LCD panel. Tape bonding, OCA (optical clear adhesive) bonding and LOCA (liquid OCA) bonding are the 3 bonding methods that LB excels at and often does on request.
Tape bonding is most widely used, as it is efficient and cost-effective to integrate the touch panel to LCD panel. Double-sided adhesive tape is used for laminating the touch layer to display layer around the bezel. Therefore, there is an air gap between the touch and LCD panel. That’s why this technology is also called air-gap bonding.
OCA bonding is to optically bond the touch panel to no-metal-frame LCD panel with OCA on the whole surface. While most industrial grade LCD panel has metal frame when assembling the LED backlight. The distance from the viewing surface to the touch is about 0.5mm ~ 1mm. Common OCA thickness is 0.2mm, hence LOCA is utilized to fill the space from the LCD’s polarizer to the touch. OCA bonding and LOCA bonding are called optical bonding. There is no air gap between the touch and LCD, which is helpful to reduce light reflection and refraction caused by the air gap.
LCD PANEL
BOE, TIANMA, AUO, INNOLUX, LG are the main brands we recommend as per the working environment where the LCD panel is to be installed. The key parameters we consider are the working operating temperature, resolution, viewing angles, interface, dimensions, bezel, brightness, contrast, and LED lifetime and etc. The standard models are the first priority.
Customized LCD panels we can do include brightness enhancement, stretched LCD, square LCD, round LCD, interface, and connecting FPC, LED backlight.
PCAP TOUCH PANEL
LB’s PCAP touch panel is based on ITO technology. Our touchscreen sensor is consisted of ITO film or ITO glass optically bonded with cover lens. The cover lens can be glass (G) and plastic (P: Polycarbonate, PMMA, and PET). So the layers of our touch panel have GG, GFF, PFF. Basically, the glass features the surface hardness which is greater than 6H and the plastic features light weight and anti-vandal.
Customized PCAP touch panel:
Can work long in the direct sunlight with anti-UV ink and anti-UV adhesive, and anti-IR filter.
Can work with thick gloved hand.
Can work in the rain or with water on the screen.
Can work with 12mm thickness cover glass.
Can work with stylus.
The color, text, shape, outline, cover lens, sensor, FPC, layers can be customized on request or as per your working conditions.
RESISTIVE TOUCH PANEL
LB’s resistive touch panel is also based on ITO technology, basically, with top ITO film bonded with bottom ITO glass. We have 4 wire and 5 wire resistive touch panel available with hundreds of standard models. They are pressure-driven touch panel, supporting single-touch with stylus, pen, card or nail input.
Our flush mount type of resistive touch panels stands out of the ordinary embedded touch panels with resistive technology. It features black bezel for flush mounting, which is used for assembling on the enclosure.
