Let's start with my personal story.
I'm YangChangqiang, an ordinary guy, primary school, middle school and college at last. When graduated from Qingdao University in 2003 I saw that the electronic was hot, so I found an electronic job in a Korean inverter company.
Electronic work needs more professional, abstract knowledges. So I often went to library to study. I became the team leader later with my efforts. But little by little I found that I had touched the ceiling.So I had to resign and tried to start my own business.
I thought 2 points were important if started business.
1. A stable and competitive industry.
Fur is an traditional industry in my hometown, 80% of fur products come from here in China.
2. A virtuous partner.
Usually the partners can struggle together at first, but will separate when business is big. So a virtuous partner is very important.
Guanfeng, a credible man, and I were classmates in high school. He has worked in fur industry for more than 10 years, he is a fur expert. He can know everything about the fur, even if he only touches it once.
We have gained many experiences and have learned many lessons during running the business these years.
One time,Ms Bella was unhappy these days. The sample and small order of fur pom poms, supplied by one fur maker, were OK at first. But the hair was a little sparse when received the several later orders. In fact the fabric weight changed, but she knew nothing.
Occasionally we were introduced to her by her friend. She contact us and knew that we have made fur products for 42 years and 80% are regular customers, so she decided to have a try.
The fabric weight was unchanged all along in our workshop . She was very satisfied when received the first several orders. She said that the fur pom poms orders will be given to us later.
Another time, we just finished 300pcs fur coats making for Mr. Cody, he called anxiously, the contract was copied from a former one, but he forgot to change color! The mistake wasn't found until the boss asked "how about the 300 coats".
We decided to make 300pcs again immediately, we dyed at night, and stopped other production for making them at first. 300 coats were finished in 6 days at last. Mr. Cody was very thankful when the carton were unpacked in his office.
Our factory is developing stably now. Many big apparel companies are our customers now.
I just show advantages and disadvantages as follows.
Advantages:
In fact, there is a lot of confusion in fur industry. For example, sample is Class I, but bulk order is Class II. Because they looks alike. Some factories can cover up the bald spots or small holes on fur with some "professional" method that is hard to be found.
But we know that kind of "clever idea" is shortsighted. So we keep rejecting stretched fur, spliced fur and so on. it is the bottom line.
As a traditional fur factory, we have run for 4 generations, Many family members also run fur factories, we help each other.
All of our suppliers are regular suppliers which have run for many years. Guanzhen, our buyer, goes outside almost everyday.
We runs well because never do business on credit, and only produce high-end fur products, not bargains. so 19 regular customers placed orders for the fifth year in succession.
We are fully integrated manufacturer, with our own sorting, dyeing, cutting, sewing and lining. Seldom factory can do this.
Assure the bulk productions with the same quality as the samples in order to be more regular customers. 70% orders are for export,Repurchase rate is 80%. There is no quality complaint for 3 consecutive years. seldom fur factories can be consistent like this.
Disadvantages:
We are traditional and sales mode is offline. More businesses have been online now. We feel dropped out. So this Online Team was established, we hope to do more businesses online.
